Service Learning Trail Projects with Timberline Lodge
June 11 @ 9:00 am - June 19 @ 4:30 pm
Timberline Lodge will be volunteering with Headwaters Trails Alliance within the Fraser Valley on different trail projects. This is a great opportunity for young adults to participate in service learning projects geared towards trails. Students will learn the importance of trails and how it ties in to recreation, conservation and helps the economy. These students will have the opportunity to work with hand tools on the trails and learn basic trail maintenance skills such as brushing, re vegetation work, drainage improvements, tread work, and bridge improvements. This is a great help to the Fraser Valley the trails in the area. Trails we will be working on this year with Timberline will include Northwest Passage, Givelo, Chainsaw, Flume, Creekside, and the Fraser River Trail.
