HTA’S CURRENT PROJECTS & PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
- Planning, construction and maintenance of the 20+ mile (Winter Park to) Fraser-to-Granby Trail, a natural-surface non-motorized multi use trail.
- Winter Grooming Program-Thanks to countless hours of volunteer work by Andy Miller (M3 Properties), Charlie and Diana Lynn Rau (The Travel Society) and Dave Knisley (Tabernashop), free Nordic skiing is available on the Winter Park to Fraser to Granby Trail from Old Town Winter Park until the box culvert at the YMCA/Snow Mountain Ranch.
- Adopt-a-Trail Program – We help organize annual maintenance of almost 500 miles of public access trails throughout Grand County. Volunteer trail adopters are led, supervised, and coordinated by the USFS and Headwaters Trails Alliance staff/interns.
- HTA helps with coordination of Colorado’s largest annual National Public Lands Day event, where over 200 volunteers gather and perform trail and restoration work on up to six different work sites. For more information on National Public Lands Day, please visit USFS website.
- Development, printing, and distribution of the free Grand County Trails Map.
