HTA and CDTC Trail Adopter Training

Join Headwaters Trails Alliance (HTA), The Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC), Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) and the USFS. in a one day Trail Maintenance Workshop for prospective and current Trail Adopters and trail volunteers in Grand County and along The Continental Divide Trail. Participants will learn basic trail assessment, maintenance, and construction techniques in the combined classrom, and field setting. New and experienced volunteers are encouraged to attend, learn new skills, and share ideas. This workshop is open to all current as well as prospective volunteers. New trail adopters are required to participate in a trail training course before working on the trails as Trail Adopters. This training will count as your required Adopter training for HTA or CDTC Trail Adopters.
Lunch will be provided.
Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, eye protection (glasses or sunglasses), closed toe shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirts. We will have gloves available, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.
