National Public Lands Day-Grand County

Join us in the nations largest single-day volunteer effort for America's public lands! This is your chance to improve the trails and areas you love and enjoy beautiful fall colors at the same time! Meet us at the YMCA Nordic Center at 7:00 AM for a fun-filled day.
Volunteers will be transported from the YMCA Nordic Center to each work site. Please bring a lunch and lots of water!
A catered dinner with live music will be provided in the evening when you return to the YMCA Nordic Center from your project.
Projects include:
Akima's Way-Leland Creek Trail System: Constructing a 160' boardwalk
Colorado River Cleanup: Between Pumphouse and State Bridge
Fraser to Granby Trail:Replacing 200+rotten logs boardering the trail near the YMCA enterance
Gilsonite Trail: Building an elevated turnpike and or boardwalk on a single-tracck motorized trail
Green Mountain: General trail improvements and maintenance
Strawberry Phases: Potential second BLM project for trail maintenance.
