Radial Bypass Fire Restoration with CDTC
August 19, 2021 @ 8:00 am – August 22, 2021 @ 4:00 pm
HTA is partnering with the Continental Divide Trails Coalition to remove standing and down burned trees, repair damaged tread, and improve drainage on Radial Bypass Trail north of Grand Lake. This is in an area that was greatly affected by last fall’s East Troublesome Fire. This project will restore access and establish safety on a trail that is a critical connection point on the greater Continental Divide Trail. This will be a four-day project and volunteers are needed to assist in tree removal, tread restoration, and drainage updates. This project is pending access to the fire closure area and will be rescheduled to work on the High Lonesome Trail if access is not granted. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in joining this effort.
