St. Louis Lake Wilderness Bridge Replacements

HTA is in search of a small group of volunteers to assist with replacing single-log wilderness bridges on St. Louis Lake Trail outside of Fraser. There are a few small wilderness bridges on this trail that have rotted and collapsed and since have posed a public safety hazard. The project will entail removing the old, rotten bridges and replacing them with a new structure in the same location. We will be dropping standing dead trees in the area to use as bridge materials, debarking the logs, and moving the logs into place to create the replacement bridge. Volunteers are needed to help debark logs, move logs into place, and plane the top of the log to act as a flat bridge surface.
