Vazquez Pass Bridge Replacement

HTA is in search of a small group of volunteers to assist with replacing a single-stringer wilderness bridge on Vazquez Pass Trail outside of Winter Park. The former bridge on this trail has rotted and collapsed and since has posed a public safety hazard. The project will entail removing the old, rotten bridge and replacing it with a new structure in the same location. We will be dropping a standing dead tree in the area to use as bridge materials, debarking the logs, and moving the logs into place to create the replacement bridge. Volunteers are needed to help debark logs, move logs into place, and plane the top of the log to act as a flat bridge surface.
