Idlewild Gateway Trail Construction Project

Headwaters Trails Alliance is partnering with Rendezvous Colorado, USFS-Sulphur Ranger District and Volunteers of Outdoor Colorado (VOC) to provide this project. We will be working on Meadow Trail and the surrounding area which connects the Winter Park/Fraser Valley to the popular Idlewild Trail System, a vast network of trails located in the James Peak Protection Area of the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest.

This will be a collaborative project working with around 100 volunteers on trail improvements in the area. We will be building approximately 2,000 ft. of new trail, including a 300-ft. turnpike.
We will also be working on additional projects including a meadow restoration and the removal of barbed wire adjacent to the trail that is no longer needed.
Meals will be provided by VOC volunteer Crew Chefs and all will be rewarded with magnificent views.
