I moved to the Fraser Valley in 2011 and quickly embraced the mountain lifestyle, learning to mountain bike and cross-country ski to keep up with new friends. My longtime passions for running, road biking, and downhill skiing naturally evolved into trail running and backcountry skiing as I settled into the community. Alongside my husband, Michael, an avid backpacker, we raised our three children in the valley, surrounded by the trails that Headwaters Trails Alliance has long supported and protected. These trails have been far more than places for recreation; they have been where friendships were built, family memories were created, and a strong sense of community took root. I am excited for the opportunity to volunteer and give back to both the area and an organization that has played such an important role in preserving the outdoor experiences that make this community so special.
