Dan grew up in New England, and after a stint in the Peace Corps, he began a career with the US Forest Service that initially brought him to Colorado and Grand County. With the Forest Service he worked in beautiful places, from the tropics to the mountains, but when he retired, he couldn’t resist the call to return to Grand County where he enjoys the many outdoor recreation and scenic amenities offered by our public lands. In retirement, Dan has been involved with several non-profit organizations and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Town of Hot Sulphur Springs.
