I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up a military brat, living in Okinawa, Japan, and Germany. After college I went on a ski trip to Colorado and, after returning to PA, I bought a mountain bike, packed up my skis, and moved to the Centennial State! I found the Fraser Valley in ‘92, met my wife and we raised a family here. I put a shock on my bike and started to explore all the trails in the area. I continue to ski, fly fish, kayak, bike, and hike on trails and access areas developed and maintained by the Headwater Trail Alliance (HTA). I served on the Grand County Library District board of trustees for 12 years and the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District for 8 years. During my tenure on those boards, I realized the importance of volunteering. I realized I could make a difference on issues that I care deeply about. I love the trails in Grand County, so I joined the HTA board in 2019 and do my part to contribute positively to our trails!
